ESD Garments
ESD clothing comes in a variety of styles and dimensions. The types of collars, fabrics used, and sleeve lengths and terminations are typical distinctions. Military-style, v-neck, and lapel collars are frequently available. Either a three-snap cuff that can be adjusted for a good fit, or an ESD cuff that enables hands-free grounding, serve as sleeve terminations. Jackets come in three lengths: full length, 3/4 length, and waist length. Fabrics are often made of polyester or a cotton-polyester blend with carbon, though the composition varies depending on the manufacturer. The comfort of the operator and the effectiveness of the ESD will influence your fabric choice. For warmer climes, you can pick a lightweight polyester, or for cooler ones, a cotton-polyester blend.
